Jap Sam Books, artist Ton Kraayeveld and designer Renate Boere are excited to announce the book launch of Labyrinth this September with multiple presentations. Labyrinth is an exploration into Ton Kraayeveld’s ‘network in space and time.’

September 8th Solar Futures by Marjan van Aubel was launched at Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam. This publication explores the past, present and future of solar energy, beautifully designed by Studio Joost Grootens. This event kicked of The Solar Biennale, an initiative by solar designers Marjan van Aubel and Pauline van Dongen. For seven weeks, the biennale focusses on the human angle: a solar-powered world goes beyond scientific research and uniform solar panels, after all. 

This weekend the WIELS Art Book Fair is back! The annual book fair takes place in Brussels and gathers independent art book publishers, book lovers, collectors, artists and many more. This year we will host booksignings by Arjan van Helmond, author of What speaks to us and Rune Peitersen, author of Raabjerg at our booth as well as a reading video performance by Ruta Butkute and Emily Kocken, authors of How To Make Sculpture Move. We look forward to meeting you at our booth!

Our good friends at Really Simple Syndicate Press will be representing our publishing house at their booth at the CHART Art Book Fair in Denmark from August 26th until August 29th! A selection of our publications will be for sale. On the first day of the fair there will be a book signing by Rune Peitersen for his new publication RAABJERG, published by Jap Sam Books and beautifully designed by Edwin van Gelder (Mainstudio)

It is time for the third and last fragment of the video readings from the publication Every Day Until Antwerp! In this series, Jacqueline Schoemaker takes the viewer with her on her journey to Antwerp through fragments from the book.

De publicatie bevat een collectie van recente fotografische werken door Michiel Kluiters die ruimtelijkheid verkennen, met een prachtig ontwerp door Mainstudio.
